Below are a lot of the questions we get asked frequently. While this list does contain a lot of questions, we understand we can’t possible answer everything. General Questions

How do I know if auto glass can be repaired?

If the damaged area is under three inches and does not block the driver’s view, usually it can be repaired. Larger areas require a full replacement of the auto glass.

What is the difference between OEM glass and what you use?

We use glass manufactured by the same company who manufactures glass for companies such as Toyota, GMC, and more. The glass we use meets or exceeds the manufacturer’s recommended safety specs.

Will you replace the stickers on my windshield?

Unfortunately, due to anti-tampering techniques embedded in inspection stickers, we are unable to put them on the new glass. The customer is responsible for replacing the appropriate stickers in a timely manner.

How long will my auto glass repair or replacement take?

Repairs take roughly 20 minutes while the typical replacement takes around an hour.

How long will it take before I can safely drive my vehicle?

You must wait at least one hour to safely drive your car and 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure. The cure time for a repair is slightly faster at 12 hours.

Does my vehicle need to be in a covered or heated area?

Not unless it’s raining or other inclement weather. Cold does not affect the process or the repair.

Will you replace my rear view mirror?

Absolutely! Our technicians will ensure the proper mounting of the original rear view mirror. If you do not have the original mirror, we may be able to order one for you.

Can you guarantee the crack or chip will be invisible after repair?

No, but it will usually look 90% better without the expense of replacing the glass.

Can you guarantee the crack or chip won't get bigger during the repair?

No. The repair process is to keep the crack from getting larger after the repair. Many factors, including temperature change, can cause the crack to become larger during our repair process.

Will you clean my car after the repair?

Of course! Any mess we make during the repair or replacement process will be thoroughly removed from the vehicle.

How soon can the job be completed?

Or jobs are usually completed within a hour, but larger, more complex jobs may take longer.

Will I have to wait with my vehicle?

You can if you’d like. Many customers enjoy watching us work, but you may also leave your vehicle with us. As long as we have access to an unlocked vehicle with a rolled down window, you don’t need to remain present.

Will you call to confirm the appointment prior to showing up?

Always! We understand life happens, so we will never show up without confirming first.

Will any part of my vehicle be harmed?

No. We will leave the car in a condition as good as or better than what it was when we arrived.

How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

You can call our main number during regular business hours.

Can you repair or replace my sunroof or moonroof?

No, we don’t offer services related to sunroofs or moonroofs.

Do you offer fleet services?

Yes, we have specific services offered only to fleets and larger companies. We have worked with many well-known companies, and would love to hear from you!

Can you repair my glass wile I'm at work or school?

Absolutely! We make glass work easy on our customers. We come to you – whether you’re at work, school, or home. All we need is access to an unlocked vehicle with at least one window rolled down.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. All our work is backed by the Aardvark Promise and comes with a lifetime warranty covering leaks and issues that arise due to workmanship. This warranty is for the life of the glass for as long as you own the vehicle. It is non-transferrable, and is voided if the glass is repaired or replaced by any third party.

Is this site secure?

Any payment passed through this site is processed by a third party payment solution (PayPal, Square, or Stripe). All payment information is handled on their end which is encrypted using the latest industry standard SSL technology. No payment information is ever stored on our site.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Android Pay, and PayPal.

Will you sell my personal information?

We will never sell or distribute any sensitive customer data, but we may use your name and email to create a custom newsletter experience for our purposes only. You may unsubscribe from that at any time.

Insurance Questions

Will my insurance pay for my repair?

Most companies cover the repair or replacement price, but some may have a deductible that must be paid first. Start with contacting your insurance company to see what your coverage is and what your deductibles are.

Will checking my deductible or inquiring about auto glass raise my insurance rates?

Most insurance companies allow for inquires without considering that a claim. Check with your insurance company for more information.

Will filing an auto glass claim count towards my insurance policy?

Rates shouldn’t go up for a single claim, but it’s best to check with your insurance company for more information.

What if I only have liability insurance?

Liability insurance only covers the damage to the other vehicle. All costs associated with this repair or replacement will be out of pocket.

Will all insurance companies waive my deductible for a repair?

Most insurance companies will waive deductibles for repairs.

Do I need to contact my insurance company before contacting Aardvark?

Yes, you must contact them first and tell them you will be getting service through Aardvark Auto Glass.
